The ingredients needed to make Seafood Chowder:
  1. Make ready 1 Haddock filet, cut into cubes
  2. Take 400 grams Large peeled prawns
  3. Make ready 200 grams Muscle meat ( I used frozen)
  4. Prepare 400 grams Calamari
  5. Get 1 can Condensed Chicken or chicken and mushroom soup
  6. Prepare 1 can Whole corn
  7. Make ready 2 tsp Fresh thyme. Finely chopped
  8. Take 2 tsp Fresh parsley finely chopped
  9. Get 1 tsp Crushed garlic
  10. Get 250 ml Fresh cream
  11. Take 1 Salt
  12. Prepare 1 Black pepper
  13. Get 1/2 Red pepper chopped roughly
  14. Get 1/2 Yellow pepper chopped
  15. Prepare 2 large Carrots. Peeled and chopped
  16. Take 2 medium Potatoes. Peeled and chopped
  17. Make ready 1/2 packages Bacon chopped
  18. Take 1/2 tsp Dried sage
  19. Get 1 Chili finely chopped
  20. Make ready 1/2 packages Fresh button mushrooms

This delectable Seafood Chowder is hands down my favorite chowder recipe, and that includes seafood chowders I have had in some top seaside restaurants! Does corn belong in a seafood chowder? My opinion is hell no lol what are your thoughts? Are you looking for a quick but delicious seafood soup?

Instructions to make Seafood Chowder:
  1. Fry bacon bits for a few minutes. Add prawns to pan and fry until colour changes ( about 3/4 minutes). Place in slow cooker. All ingredients except for cream. Do not drain the corn, add liquid to the pot. Add 1/2 can of water to the soup can and rinse out into the pot. Cook on low for 5 hours. Take out half of the chowder and blend with stick blender. Be careful to throw prawns and calamari back into the pot whole. This will thicken the chowder. Add cream and cook for a further 15 minutes.
