Now simmer the flame and cook covered till the rice has absorbed all the water. Now add the chopped onions & ground paste. Saute till raw smell goes off. Add tomatoes & saute till its mushy.

Instructions to make Tomato biryani:
  1. Slice onions, tomatoes, green chilli
  2. Take a pressure cooker and keep it on the stove. Once the cooker heats add oil once the oil heats add cumin seeds, once it starts crackle, add cloves, elachi, cinnamonum, biryani leaf, add onions, green chilli, curry leaves, mix it well, add salt, turmeric, ginger garlic paste. Mix it well. Close the lid and keep the stove in low flame.
  3. Once the onion becomes brown add tomatoes, mix it well and again close it with a lid. Once the tomatoes cooked add biryani masala, mix well then add soaked rice, mix it well then add water. Close the pressure cooker. Cook for 3 whistles.
  4. Once the pressure goes remove the lid.
  5. Take it into a plate /bowl and serve hot.

Saute till raw smell goes off. Add tomatoes & saute till its mushy. Add the required salt to ease the sauting process. Tomato Biryani - Thakkali Biryani Thakkali biryani can be prepared either by using fresh tomato, ginger, garlic and garam masala items or using tomato paste, ginger garlic paste.
